Howdy! I am the Special Education Department Chair and 8th Grade Math Co-teacher and Casemanager. I am a mother of two, a son in college and a daughter in high school, and I am a wife of 22 wonderful years with my beloved soul-mate. I graduated from Texas A & M University with a bachelors in Finance. This is my second career, but has been my most rewarding. This will be my 9th year as a special education teacher with Hutto Middle School. I have worked with 6th and 7th grade, as well. I prefer my 8th grade students! I love to see their transition from a middle schooler to a high school freshman. I get excited by the possibilities I can see in our students and look forward to being a part of their transition. I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child and I am pleased to be part of your village. I have always been taught that education is the Great Equalizer, and I strive to help each student to reach their potential through the process of education. Discipline, hard work, and high expectations push a student to be their best and that is my regimen each day. I appreciate all parents who make education a priority and join me in the duty of helping your student obtain their own level of success.
